Skate 3 x MW2

This one is a released Windows program, not only a clip. chasmlol’s 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup runs Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) multiplayer on IW4L, a from-scratch Rust rewrite. Skate 3 physics are optional and need files from a copy you own.

Can you play it?

Versions
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009), tested with the Steam version. Skate 3 mode needs your own extracted Xbox 360 default.xex. Minecraft files download from Mojang on first launch.

What you are launching

You point iw4l.exe at your own MW2 install. The README says it was tested with the Steam version. Press J on a map to drop onto a board driven by Skate 3 physics, tricks, and grinds, if you selected your own extracted default.xex. Without those files, skating stays off and the rest still runs.

The same build also has a Minecraft tab. That world is generated by MinecraftOSS. You do not need to own Minecraft for that tab. The first launch downloads Minecraft 26.3 data from Mojang. This site does not host the zip, MW2, or Skate 3 files.

Questions

Do I need Skate 3 installed on PC?

The README asks for an extracted Xbox 360 default.xex and its data folder, from a copy you own, plus a controller. Skip that step and MW2 mode still runs. We do not explain how to dump a disc.

Is this an official Modern Warfare 2 mod?

No. It is a separate program that reads your 2009 MW2 install. It is not an Infinity Ward or Activision product.

Concept poster for this pair

A poster is not a download. Generation is coming soon, so this stays collapsed and does not spend a free poster.
