AI Merge Games

FAQ

What are AI merge games?

In late September and early October 2026, “AI merge games” started meaning fan mods that put one game’s gameplay inside another, often with coding agents such as Claude Code. TweakTown, Video Games Chronicle, and MindStudio all covered the wave. It is not the older mobile genre of match-and-merge puzzle games.

Are the viral clips actually downloadable?

Some are. SkyCraft, ER Mario, and the 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup have public GitHub releases. The Minecraft-inside-Elden-Ring clip from Tobyn Jacobs did not, according to TweakTown, Dexerto, and Held Games. Every entry here is marked Playable download, DIY build, or Video only.

Do I need to own both games?

For the playable and DIY projects we list, yes, except where a README says otherwise. The MW2 mashup downloads Minecraft 26.3 files from Mojang and does not require you to own Minecraft. Skate 3 is optional there. This site never hosts game files, ROMs, or mod binaries.

Can I get banned?

Follow the project’s own warning. ER Mario and the Minecraft Crossover Bridge start Elden Ring offline with Easy Anti-Cheat disabled, and both say not to play online. SkyCraft is a single-player Skyrim setup plus an optional Minecraft session with other SkyCraft players. We do not promise that any mod is ban-safe.

How do I make an AI game mashup?

The documented path we checked is Universal Modder, a skill for coding agents. universalmodder.dev publishes Claude Code install steps. MindStudio describes pointing that skill at two games you own, using Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini. Expect to debug. An agent does not guarantee a finished mod.

What does the poster generator make?

An original concept poster inspired by the mood of two games you name. It is not a playable mod. While generation is closed, the poster page shows sample images made for this site and does not spend a free poster.

How do free posters and credits work?

Two free posters are planned per browser once generation is open. Pack prices are listed on the credits page. Choosing a pack does not charge you and does not add posters, because payments are not open yet.

Are you affiliated with the game publishers?

No. AI Merge Games is an independent fan site. Game names identify projects people are searching for. We link to creator repositories and news articles only.
